| Description |
English: Kent, Washington's first public building was a log schoolhouse, built in 1869. As the population grew, classes were held in various homes and school buildings. Sometime after 1903, the district built its first high school on a hill east of the city. This brick building became the junior high school after a still newer high school opened in the late 1920s.
This lithograph postcard, postmarked 1908, shows the 14-room Kent High School in Kent, Washington.
