| Description |
English: Hobbled cow Cows are sometimes hobbled after a difficult calving to prevent their hind legs from splaying out and doing the splits if the leg muscles have been temporarily damaged. A hobble can also be used to stop a cow from kicking out - especially useful at milking time, though other methods are generally used.
This cow looks as if she might have calved recently as she has a lot of milk. |
