Description Holden LJ Torana GTR-XU1 sedan. Taken at the National Holden Museum in Echuca Victoria. The XU1 version of the GTR Torana was aimed at those wanting to enter in Series Production racing. A certain number had to be sold to the public in order for the car to be eligible for homologation. Various options were available so that the car could be improved for track use. XU1s also found homes on the rally circuit, as the light weight body and powerful engine with rear wheel drive was very well suited to rallying.
