Summary edit
DescriptionHoly Trinity, Bradwell-juxta-Coggeshall - geograph.org.uk - 460856.jpg |
English: Holy Trinity, Bradwell-juxta-Coggeshall The stonework of the church is of geological interest. The dark blocks seen here in the west wall are ferruginously-cemented sands and gravels. This is not surprising since the church is sited on Kesgrave Sands and Gravels which were laid down by the Thames before it was diverted in the Ice Age to its present course. Gravel extraction still takes place in the area TL8222. |
