| Description |
English: Home Street, Tollcross. Compare these plainer, earlier Georgian tenements on the east side of the street with the later, more ornamented Victorian tenements on the opposite side. Believe it or not, this block was designed by one of Scotland's leading 19thC architects, James Gillespie Graham, on land feued by the Drumdryan estate. Drumdryan House stood behind them until its demolition in the 1950s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Gillespie_Graham
