Nederlands: Hoog water leidt in Nederland tot wateroverlast. In de Gelderse Vallei staan wegen onder water, nadat oa de Barneveldse Beek door de hevige regenval buiten zijn oevers is getreden. Het veer bij Sambeek is uit de vaart en mensen worden met roeibootjes naar de andere oever gebracht. Een steenfabriek bij Gennep is ondergelopen door de overstroming van de Maas. De weg naar Bergen is ook door de Maas overstroomd. 300 aken liggen in de haven van Maasbracht te wachten tot het waterpeil daalt.
English: High water leads to flooding in the Netherlands. In the Gelderland Valley, the Barneveld Beek overflowed its banks from the heavy rains and now roads are under water. The ferry was out of service at Sambeek so people with row boats charged people to take them across. Brickworks at Gennep and the road to Bergen were flooded by the the Meuse. 300 workers are at the port of Maasbracht, waiting until the water level drops. |
