English: Monumental clock of Marie-Antoinette. Robert Robin, clockmaker of the king. The queen had ordered it to listen the time at Trianon without depending on the Palace of Versailles. It was installed in April 1785. In October 1794, the Convention offered it to the museum, which wanted to have a clock to strike the hours of classes as well as those for the opening and closing of the garden and the exhibition galleries.
