English: Hornhead Bridge Note the Google maps here are useless. Please refer to OSI Discovery Series Sheet 2 from which all accurate grid references have been made.
The bridge connecting Hornhead to the 'mainland'. Originally the water from the estuary here would surge through all twelve spans of the bridge at the changing tides. Due to the shifting sands of the area it has now silted up and water only passes, at a snails pace, through four of the arches. For related images see |
