Hortiboletus bubalinus (Xerocomus bubalinus) (Oolbekkink & van Duin) Redeuilh Image location: Viana do Castelo, Portugal Cap redish brown with pink hues, flesh pink, spongy (not bruising on exposure, after some hours turns bluish white), pores yellow not staining or staining weakly blue. Stem pink outside, yellowish inside, staining weakly orange, (pink near cuticle). Found on the border of a conifer forest with acacias near the beach. I don’t find any bolete with pink flesh.
