English: Hospital of the Holy and Blessed Trinity, Long Melford, Suffolk. The large brick building on the right of the picture is the Hospital of the Holy and Blessed Trinity. It was established in 1573 by Sir William Cordell of Melford Hall as an almhouse for 12 aged men and a warden and still serves its original purpose. Today it also provides accommodation for women and married couples. It is an endowed charity administered by a board of trustees. This picture also shows the beautiful church of Holy Trinity. |
