Summary edit

Description
English: The Goodwill Saloon operated here in 1906, and the Dini brothers took over the bar in 1926. Then in 1945, younger brother Mike Dini and partner Sam McIntosh opened McDini's, famous for corned beef sandwiches. When McDini's closed in the 1980s, it was San Diegos oldest continuously operating bar. The prostitution-friendly Hotel Lester operated above the bar, then the Brighton Hotel, and eventually the Gaslamp Hotel.
