English: Original Houmas House Limoges china, dating to 1828, displayed at Houmas House and Gardens, a Louisiana plantation-era attraction that includes visitor lodging, restaurants and a bar, and the most extensive gardens in"Plantation Country"along the winding [Mississippi] River Road near the tiny town of Darrow in Ascension Parish (Louisiana calls its counties"parishes"). Houmas House also features a separate, currently expanding (as of 2021) museum building with extensive exhibits about the River Road, Louisiana history, and slavery.
