Description
English:  : Description left: List of skins traded at York from Sept. 8th 1714, to August 1st, 1715. Parchment beaver was a skin taken from the animal and stretched and died. Coat beaver - supple, greasy skins worn as "toggies" by Indians - were the kind preferred by tha hat makers. Values are in "Made Beaver".
Description right: Standard of trade decreed by Govenor James Knight in 1715. "Baggonetts" are probably bayonets. "Mocotawgons" are curved knives, still used by Indians. "Bays" is baize. Note that deer and moose skins are listed among the trading goods.
