Summary edit

Description
English: This is Humayun’s Tomb, a very famous heritage site in Delhi, India. It is a grand dynastic mausoleum built in the 1560’s, with the patronage of Humayun’s son, the great Emperor Akbar. The picture depicts the beauty of Mughal architecture and the impeccable work done by the Persian and Indian craftsmen. The whole structure is of dressed stone clad in red sandstone with white and black inlaid marble borders. The tomb is surrounded by a beautiful garden and it is said to be an epitome of a four-quadrant garden with the four rivers of Quranic paradise with pools.
