| Description |
English: Hut circle, Machrie Forest I lost my camera in the rushes, heather, myrtle, grasses of the firebreak about 100 yards away, and spent an hour and a half looking for it (even though I knew within a few yards where it was). It is not easy terrain. By this time it was getting dark as the low sun no longer lit up the forestry very well. This, and my exhaustion, has affected the quality of the picture, I'm afraid. This is the more northerly of a pair of circles, the other being very indistinct on the ground. A path to a standing stone is nearby.
