English: Macro photography of the two-dimensional hydrodynamic flow focusing phenomenon. The sample liquid to be focused is an aqueous solution of the fluorescent dye fluorescein (shown in green). The focusing liquid is an aqueous solution of the fluorescent dye sulforhodamine B (shown in pink). The flow of liquids follows from right to left. The sheath fluid from the two outer channels flows into the central one where it forces the sample fluid to stretch into a thin (20 micrometers) jet.
Українська: Макрофотографія явища двовимірного гідродинамічного фокусування потоку. Рідина, потік якої фокусується – водний розчин флуоресцентного барвника флуоресцеїну (на фото зеленим кольором). Фокусувальна рідина – водний розчин флуоресцентного барвника сульфородаміну Б (відтінки рожевого кольорів). На фото рух рідин відбувається справа наліво. Із двох зовнішніх каналів потік фокусувальної рідини впадає у центральний, у якому змушує рідину, що фокусується, витягуватися тонким струменем у 20 мікрометрів завтовшки. |
