Description
Svenska: Datorn inköptes av givaren 1988 och användes av denne som en kombinerad arbets- och hemdator.

Han arbetade som tekniker och projektledare på Saab Automation och använde datorn till sitt arbete med planering, programmering och installation av automationsutrustning bl.a på postterminalerna Tomteboda, Göteborg, Klara och Årsta.

Systemet (dator/färgskärm/skrivare) har legat i malpåse mer än 20 år dvs. från mitten av 90-talet.

Systemet utvecklades och tillverkades av IBM som ett sätt att återta initiativet efter att konkurrenternas framtagning av PC-kloner hade urholkat företagets vinstmöjligheter för PC. PS/2 visade sig dock oförmögen att konkurrera med PC och blev en teknikhistorisk parentes.

Nypriset för datorn var 32572 kronor, utan skärm.
