Description
English: Early design drafts of the ICE-T front car. The concept included an elevated position for the engineer so that passengers could go as far as the front window of the entire train. This was originally considered the best solution, until it became clear it could not be realized due to space restraints.
Deutsch: Frühe Entwürfe der Lounge des ICE-T sahen einen erhöhten Führerstand oberhalb des Einstiegsbereiches vor. Fahrgäste hätten dabei die Möglichkeit gehabt, bis an die Frontscheibe des Zuges heranzutreten. Die "barrierefreie" Sicht auf die Strecke (ohne davor sitzenden Fahrer) galt ursprünglich als Ideallösung, konnte aber letztlich aus Platzgründen nicht realisiert werden.
