Page 1: During the year 1943, the Joint Relief Commission of the International Red Cross was entrusted with the purchase, shipment and distribution of food and medical supplies donated for the civilian Norwegian population.

Page 11: Distribution of Milk

At Oslo, the distribution is carried out mainly in the elementary and secondary schools. Out of 1330 cases, 1269 are used for the preparation of school meals in 37 schools of various grades. The smaller children receive a bowl of milk, and also sometimes, like the older ones, gruel soup with sweetened milk.

In the Akershus district, Sout West of Oslo, 122 cases were allotted among the schools of five localities.
