English: Blackamoor above the entrance door of Handelshaus Mohrmann, headquarter of the merchant company Mohrmann, in Ibbenbüren, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The plaque stated, that the building was errected in 1804.
Deutsch: Mohrenfigur und Erinnerungstafel über der Eingangstür des Handelshauses Mohrmann in Ibbenbüren, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Der „Mohr“, ein Geschenk für die früher als Kolonialwarenhändler tätige Familie Mohrmann, ist seit langer Zeit quasi deren Firmensymbol. Das Bildnis soll ausdrücklich geschichtlich verstanden werden und keineswegs eine irgendwie geartete aktuelle rassistische Einstellung des Familienunternehmens zum Ausdruck bringen.
