Description
English: Where do I dig this one? Airman 1st Class Caleb Hurley carries an ice auger on the frozen Tanana River Nov. 24 during construction of an ice bridge near Fairbanks, Alaska. The ice bridge is five-feet deep, a mile long and capable of supporting more than 110 tons. It completely vanishes in the spring. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Jonathan Snyder)
