Español: Primitiva construcción de la actual Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. Alfonso VIII de Castilla decide convertir la iglesia colegial en la mejor de la cordillera cántabra, edificando esta Iglesia del Cristo (1225-1230), protogótica, con tipología cisterciense.
