Description
Español: En el siglo XVII se había iniciado la conformación de Milla. Disponía de una capilla bajo la advocación de la Santa Cruz. En el año 1806 el sector se convierte en parroquia y se traslada la capilla bajo la advocación de San Juan Bautista. Luego fue destruída por el terremoto de 1894, y el mismo año comienza la reconstrucción de la iglesia sobre las bases de la ya destruída. En 1906 queda concluida la obra. En 1970 se inicia una restauración (Columna, muros, techo). Su orden arquitectónico esta ubicado dentro de las iglesias coloniales y republicanas, época en la que el país estaba en renovación de las formas clásicas del arte, por lo que en ella se observa una simetría y una pureza neoclásica con destellos barrocos.
