Description

Español: Iglesia de San Bartolomé, Logroño (La_Rioja). Se construyó adosada a la muralla, como una iglesia de tres naves y cabecera de tres ábsides, semicircular el central y cuadrados los laterales.

Erigida a inicios del sigloXIII. El ábside central es de gran elegancia, gracias a su altura y buenas proporciones. El arco triunfal es apuntado y doblado, mientras que el presbiterio se cubre con cañón apuntado y el ábside con cuarto de esfera. Los cimacios de los capiteles vegetales del arco triunfal se impostan por toda la cabecera, siendo de ajedrezado.

La gran y abigarrada portada gótica exterior reaprovechó esculturas románicas del antiguo templo. Se pueden encontrar en las enjutas de los arcos laterales, como el que muestra el alma (niño) que dos ángeles portan al Cielo junto a la mujer que yace en la cama.
