Description
Deutsch: An der Stelle des heutigen Capitol-Hochhauses am Schwarzen Bären in Hannover-Linden hatte sich der königlich hannoversche Hofarchitekt Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves seine erste eigene Villa erbaut, direkt an der Ihme-Brücke am Eingang der seinerzeit vor der Industrialisierung als Villen-Vorort geplanten, späteren Industriestadt Linden. Nach dem Bau der - heutigen - Laveshauses wurde die erste Villa ab ca. 1833 von der Lederfabrik August Söhlmann genutzt und war Schauplatz der Aufstellung der ersten Dampfmaschine im Königreich Hannover - noch vor Georg Egestorff. Die Villa diente später auch als "Photographisches Atelier" verschiedener Fotografen. Hier im Bild ist eine der älteren Vorläuferinnen der heutigen Benno-Ohnesorg-Brücke zu sehen, im Hintergrund die Schornsteine der Mechanischen Weberei ...
