Illumination i Stockholm i anledning af segern vid Narva. Kopparstick 273 x 386: På ett draperi, hållet af 2 ryktets genier, följande inskrift: Illuminationis, Occasione Stupendae Victoriae, quam Augustissimus Svecorum Rex Carolus XII, - - prope Narvam, Urbe itidem gravi obsidione liberatà, d. 20 - 30 Nov. 1700. reportavit, ab Illustrmo: et Excellmo: Comite et Sae: Rae: Mtis. Senatore Prim: Dn. Benedicto Oxenstierna adornatae, et Holmiae d. 5 - 15 Febr. 1701. exhibitae, genuina Delineatio. Altit: Amphitheatri 50 ped: Latit: 160 ped. Altit: Figur: 20 ped. cum Inscr: En praktfull, i jonisk stil uppförd halfrundel med 13 nischer framför ingången till det Oxenstiernska palatset. I den mellersta nischen tronar segerherren i antik dräkt; i de andra nischerna, 6 på hvarje sida om den förstnämnda, står en allegorisk figur, samtliga med förklarande inskriptioner. Nederst i förgrunden en triumfbåge, samt ett vimmel af karosser, vakter och åskådare. Under bilden en rad latinska verser (af C. Staude). Vid kopparsticket är fäst ett blad i boktryck, innehållande: Kurtze Beschreibung der Magnifiquen Illumination [Bildbeskrivning: Snoilsky: Historiska planscher. Ny uppl.] |
