Description
English: ‘He arrived within sight of a palace of shining marble.‘ Illustration by Edmund Dulac. Along with Arthur Rackham, Dulac is considered to be a master of the gift book genre of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Stories from the Arabian nights (Hodder and Stoughton, 1907) was the first of a number of commissions Dulac received from the English publisher Hodder and Stoughton.
