Description
English: The preferred bee hive was one manufactured by Langstroth. An 'Improved' Langstroth was thought to be the best because it enabled a close watch on the colony. More information can be found on p552 of Henry B. Scammell's 1897 handbook Cyclopedia of Valuable Receipts, a guide to all and sundry with 2000 illustrations.
