Što reče Đorđe Balašević: "Prodaću onu našu kućerdu na lakat, Ma nek' je stoput dedina...". Čika Jova Zmaj zborio: "Gde god nađeš zgodno mesto, tu drvo posadi!". Gde god nađeš zgodno mesto, tu zgradu izgradi! U metežu dugodecenijske gradnje, nasuprot vremenu, vekovima, stoje dragulji arhitekture, ne daju sećanjima, prošlosti da izbledi, ranama, žrtvama, kao opomena, znak pored puta. Sinagoga predstavlja veličanstven dragulj mađarske secesije u Subotici. Na njoj su radili najveći umetnici mađarske države tog vremena poput Marcella Komora i Dezsőa Jakaba, te vitražista Miksa Róth.* (https://www.suboticasinagoga.rs/) Prilikom rekonstrukcije sinagoge na klupe su vraćena imena ljudi koji su odvedeni u koncentracione logore 1944. godine iz kojih se nikad nisu vratili.
