English: Mauritius Coast Guard Ship Valiant was commissioned by the Prime Minister of Mauritius at Port Louis on 16 August 2017. The ship, built by M/s Goa Shipyard Limited, is the second Water Jet Fast Patrol Vessel supplied by India to Mauritius. The Indian Navy over saw construction of the ship and was involved in its trials, acceptance, and timely delivery. Rear Admiral Surendra Ahuja, Assistant Controller Warship Production and Acquisition represented the Indian Navy at the commissioning ceremony. |
