English: This is the Indivisibility Banner, a variant of the Indivisibility Flag designed by Eliana Rubashkyn in 2021 and released to the public on June 1, 2021 for use in Pride Month 2021 and for all time from then onwards.
The Indivisibility Flag is the expression of all the constant and all too often insurmountable frustrations experienced by intersex people as part of our struggle for fundamental human rights. Too often our true nature is completely misunderstood, our needs are misconstrued, our community is assumed to be somehow automatically included in the struggle for fundamental human rights by virtue of the plus in LGBT+ or LGBTQ+, or we are actively excluded from the human rights struggle altogether. We are so much more than just a plus sign. We are the I in LGBTQIA+. |
