English: Inishmurray Island from Streedagh Point I had hoped to find someone to drop me off on the abandoned Inishmurray Island and leave me there for a few hours to walk about the island and take photos. The island is quite photogenic. There is a monastic site there with old churches, a beehive hut, and two cemeteries (men & women). There is also a long row of derelict cottages that once belonged to families that fished and make illegal poteen for a living. I wasn't able to get out there because of the weather. |
