| Description |
English: İç Kale (Inner Fortress) of Diyarbakır, the citadel located in the northeastern corner of the walled city. The site is ancient and there are structures from different periods.
This is a section of walls in the northwestern part of the fortress. It looks to me like it may have been a former gate, as there's an area that looks like an opening that's been walled-up. Above this is an Arabic inscription, seen here in lighter stone. |
