Description
English: Inscribed lintel above the east (chancel) window of Halton Church The leaflet "Halton Church - An Historical Guide" by Lesley Milner says that "Cuthbert Carnaby of Halton, whose father had become rich in the service of King Henry VIII, gave the church its present windows. His initials and those of his wife, Margaret Horsley, can be seen carved on the inside of the large East window".
