Summary edit

Description
English: The introductory section of the "Remarks on New Hypotheses" article by Gerard Krefft in The Sydney Mail of Saturday, 12 July 1873 Template:Em-dash an article in which Krefft, given his belief that "it is highly probable" that "the discoveries" and recent advances in relation to the notion of the transmutation of species that have been increasingly reported in the overseas literature, "have not [as yet] penetrated to every place which the Sydney Mail makes bright once a week" elaborates on such; and, further, Krefft considers it important to do so, because "if ever there was a season when people flock round those who interpret the faith in which they were brought up, it is the present time, in Australia at least”.
