| Description | 45066 makes a smoky westbound departure from Newton Abbot in 1981/2. I thought of deleting this as 'rubbish', viewed into the sun with washed out colours, but I realised that this was how we often actually saw trains, so I left it, and I almost like it now. Note the HV clothing of the day. The signals have now gone as has the signal box, whilst 45066 is long gone and the few surviving class members are confined to 'preserved' lines, although it is hoped that one or more may eventually reappear here on charter train duty. |
