| Description | Newton Abbot on an cold morning in early 1979 or 1980. A class 50 is pointing west, but IIRC has arrived from Plymouth before heading for Paignton. Platform 3 looks quite crowded, but the next eastbound train looks to be expected through Platform 4. A DMU sits in Platform 1, whilst a set of Aircon Mark 2s stands in the station sidings. adjacent to the then still open loco depot. |
