The majolica vase in the center of the King’s Bedroom was made in 1867 by the English firm of Minton. It is one of the only ten ‘Prometheus’ vases known to exist. It was preserved by the family of Prince David Kawānanakoa and Queen Kawanaanakoa, grand nephew of King Kalākaua and Queen Kapi’olani. (No Photography was allowed inside the Palace). | ||
