English: Is There Anybody Out There? This picture shows Cambridge Universities Travelling Radio Telescope Array. The dishes are situated along about 5km of Beechingised railway line. By combining the signals from a number of small dishes the effective size of the receiver is increased significantly. The dishes are used to research the secrets of the universe. |
