Willem III zit in een triomfwagen, waarbij hem een lauwerkrans boven het hoofd gehouden wordt. De wagen wordt vooraf gegaan door ruiters en herauten. Op de voorgrond liggen de Dood en de Afgunst op de grond. Op de achtergrond het Binnenhof en de Hofvijver. Met drie spreuken: "pro patria", "alles voort Vaderlant", "doot en nijt, slijt door de tijt".
