Notes Pieter Isaacsz. was a son of a Dutch agent in Elsinore, Denmark. In Amsterdam he entered the workshop of Cornelis Ketel, then studied painting under Jan van Aken, whom he followed to Germany and Italy, where he most probaly created the Warsaw's drawing.
