Description
English: Isaiah Kalunakanawai Kaauwai (September 27, 1864 – October 29, 1937), pastor of the Kapaa Hawaiian Church on Kauai. Born on Molokai, he served as Representative for the Sixth District of the Territorial House of Representatives of Hawaii in 1901. At the time of his death, he was the oldest Hawaiian minister. During his term, he introduced House Bill 55 — To Restore Hawaiian Language in the Schools.
