Isolation Screens (Sound Baffles), BTR recorders, Recording the Beatles exhibit, Abbey Road's Studio2

[Quotes from description]

Isolation Screens/Sound Baffles
These screens were used throughout Studio Two in the 1960s
and '70s. They help isolate the sound in the recording area,
for example to separate guitar amplifiers from drums. A few
original screens remain, which were used in virtually every
classic session by the Hollies, Peter and Gordon, Pink Floyd
and The Beatles, to name a few.
The Red Chairs (not in photo)
Around 1960, Abbey Road decided to replace the seats
throughout the studios. Old wooden chairs that had been
around since the 1931 opening were upgraded to new models.
These were much more modern, with grey painted legs and
bright red leather seats and backs. Unlike the wooden chairs
before, they stacked neatly in piles when not in use.
The leather seats were chosen as they didn't make any
squeaking noises during quiet recordings.

They were in constant use in every room for nearly 40 years,
in endless studio photos, the artists sit, play and lounge in
these red chairs. Given that they were constantly present,
it's possible that any one of them could be the chair used
as Paul McCartney played Yesterday, or when John Lennon
played piano on A Day in the Life.

Note: upper left black panel, "LSC/Avolites Precept 12", seems to be a lighting console for the exhibition.
