Title
English: Issaquah School, ca. 1898
Description
English: The first school classes in what is now Issaquah were held in homes or farm buildings. By the late 1880s, there were several small wooden schoolhouses near the newly forming town. Sometime in the 1890s, a large new schoolhouse was built for the growing population of school children. All grades attended classes in the same building.

In this photo from the late 1890s, the students and teachers of the Issaquah School stand outside their new schoolhouse.
