English: Book illustration, frontispiece? Czar Peter the Great (Peter I of Russia) stands near a table with nautical instruments, such as a Jacob's staff, a compass and a compass (drawing tool). Man wearing a distinctive costume and headdress (orthodox priest?) Female in Russian national dress (possibly allegory of Russia) with an earring inspects the instruments. Globe, book on astronomy, sundial. View of a harbour with a sailing ship. Russian coat of arms with double-headed eagles. In the clouds two women, one with a cross and one with the sun on a stick and on her breast.
