English: When the Orden of St Dominic came to Sweden 1237 they built a convention (monestery) in Skänninge and in the same time the first brickhouses in Sweden started to builts. The church in Järstad was probably the first church on the countryside with bricks, from around 1250. The summer 2008 they restored the church. |
