Description
Deutsch: Dreifacheinheit der VGF-Reihe U3, Zug der Linie Bahnhof Frankfurt (Main) Ost bei der Einfahrt in den Tunnel der Stammstrecke C. Die Wagen der Reihe U3 waren die ersten echten Voll-U-Bahn-Wagen der VGF ohne Klapptrittstufen, die zu Anfang nur auf der Linie U4 eingesetzt werden konnten.
Die seitlich abzweigenden Gleise sind Übergangsgleise zum Straßenbahnnetz, bis zur Einstellung des Güterverkehrs waren sie außerdem die Verbindung zum Fernbahnnetz. Wegen des Güterverkehrs und des Betriebes mit den Pt-Wagen mit einer Breite von nur 2,35 Metern gab es hier lange keine über SO erhöhten Bahnsteige.
