Description
Deutsch: Gleis 31 (Bahnsteig 4), das Übergangsgleis für Züge in Richtung Fernbahnnetz. Der Triebwagen fährt auf der Linie C14 nach Mittweida, Nachschuss am Ende der Gleichstromfahrleitung. Trotz der auf dieser Strecke durchgehend vorhandenen Fahrleitung verkehren die Züge im Dieselbetrieb, die Chemnitzbahn hat für die erste Betriebsstufe nur Zweikrafttriebwagen beschafft.
Drei Jahre später gewann man allerdings auch beim öffentlichen Besteller die Erkenntnis, das der Dieselantrieb nur eine Brückentechnologie sein kann und das Stadtbahnsystem nur elektrifiziert zukunftsfähig ist. Beim Vorbild um Kassel hatte man diese Erkenntnis schon einige Jahre zuvor und im kraftverkehrs- und verbrennungsmotorgeilen Sachsen ist die reine Existenz der Chemnitzbahn schon nahe am Wunder.
