Description
Deutsch: Westkopf Richtung Mockau und Leipzig Nord. Im Endzustand sollen hier Fahrten von jedem Gleis in jedes möglich sein. Die Weichen im Bild sind zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt jedoch noch einseitig festgelegt.
Der Bahnsteig des neuen Hp Mockauer Straße im Hintergrund erhält auf beiden Seiten eine Verkehrskante. Vor einigen Jahren war geplant, den ohnehin erforderlichen Umbau des Kreuzungsbauwerkes Mockau für den Wiederaufbau des zweiten Gleises zwischen Leipzig Nord und Thekla West zu nutzen. Mit einer Einbindung in das Richtungsgleis Mockau–Thekla würde man in Verbindung mit der Weichenlage in Thekla eine bisher kaum vorstellbare betriebliche Flexibilität gewinnen. Ob es dazu kommt, wird die Zukunft zeigen.
