English: SHORTY HARRIS AND JIMMY DAYTON'S GRAVE AND MARKER; ONE OF DEATH VALLEY'S MOST PROMINENT GRAVES BELONGS TO FRANK "SHORTY" HARRIS, WHO DIED IN BIG PINE IN 1934 (A SINGLE BLANKET JACKASS PROSPECTOR). HE ASKED THAT HE BE BURIED BESIDE JIM DAYTON, HIS FRIEND OF BYGONE DAYS. "REST IN PEACE SHORTY AND MAY THE SUN ALWAYS WARM YOUR DRY DUSTY BONES.” JIM DAYTON HAD DIED MUCH EARLIER, ALONE, ON A 150 TRIP OUT OF THE VALLEY - PROBABLY FROM HEAT EXHAUSTION
